The Power was formed by Jesse, Jordan and Kai, originally a North Pole-based trio. As the head-elves of the musical instruments department of Santa's workshop, they would build instruments and jam, and eventually decided to form a band. In 2010, they left the frozen tundras and small clubs of the arctic circle and relocated to NYC. They had heard of Nat Brower, a then-recovering SantaCon addict, as his original Christmas demo had circulated to arctic seas earlier that year. Destined to be his backing band, the Power wandered the streets of NY looking for him. It wasn't long before they found him that spring (on a street corner, in full-Santa regalia, drunkenly belting a made up Christmas song), and immediately started hitting their polished high harmonies. Brower was awestruck, and simply had to have the elves on board. Nat Brower and the Power quickly became a city-wide staple of rock and roll, as they worked the street corners to the more notable NYC venues (Bell House, Death by Audio, Cake Shop). To this day, Drunk Santa and the elves remain New York's favorite rock band, year-round.
